my husband is on 2 blood pressure meds, and his blood pressure is running about 80/50. Is this too low?

He has lost some weight with a new diabetic med., and his blood pressure has never been this low. Sometimes the bottom number goes in the 40's. He has fainted once, and isn't sleeping well, and tires easily. Can we cut one of his blood pressure pills in half until he can see the doctor, whiich won't be for at least a week as we are going out of town. He is taking lisinopril 40mg. once a day and metoprolol 25 mg. once a day.
